Amendments and New Information
We appreciate that, inevitably, there will be errors in the website.
These may have resulted from inaccurate information being supplied or obtained, or from typographical errors.
We apologise for any such errors and would appreciate being informed of them so that corrections can be made.
We hope to be able to expand still further by continuing researches, including on the considerable numbers of known persons whom we cannot place ('No Fits'), most of whom are, inevitably, from the early period (16th and 17th centuries). We should also make clear that, although our earlier sources do not always indicate clear relationships, we have, on occasion, made deductions and assumptions which seemed reasonable. We are prepared for the possibility that these will either be confirmed or denied by subsequent researches.
We would also appreciate learning of new information which would enhance our tree. In order to keep the tree manageable (it already has over 4100 names in it), we are particularly interested in additional information on those already included and in new members with a Keppie or Keppy family name. While information displayed on living persons is limited to name and year of birth (see Legal Notices), we would be pleased to receive relevant information on living persons which you would like us to store safely until an appropriate time to display on the website.
